Claudia Calirman is an art historian specializing in 20th-century Latin American art who lived in Rio de Janeiro during the period under scrutiny in her new book. She is Assistant Professor of Art History at John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York and former visiting scholar at the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University.
Dr. Calirman will be discussing her new book "Brazilian Art Under Dicatatorship"
