You see them on line and in magazines, and you ask yourself, “How did they make that stunning image?” Now you can discover the answers when you join us at Calumet University for Secrets to Stunning Photographs. In this 3-hour class, you will learn the secrets that the pros use to create visual magic or to achieve powerful documentation. Our instructor will teach you the skills and creative decision-making processes of composition, elements of design, and the effects of focal lengths on image creativity. This class will quickly develop your understanding of strategy, how to strengthen your images and when. You will explore all the compositional rules and when to break them and how to choose and distinguish light. Using real lenses, you will explore lens types— wide to telephoto— and how they influence your visual message with different perspectives, and how perspective can create stunning images!
When you leave this class, you will be inspired and ready to apply creative thinking to image capture. You will master the foundations of composition, have the knowledge and skills to create pleasing visual interpretations of your subject and the know-how to employ creative discovery methods for stunning photographs.
Students receive a workbook, mentored “hands-on exercises” and explore a variety of camera applications to achieve a high level of competence in a variety of situations.
