Young people often have anxiety about interviewing, so this workshop will focus especially on confidence building through role-play and positive reinforcement. Office Etiquette: What Works at WorkSaturday, March 16, 2013Whether communicating with a coworker, the boss, a professor, or a patron there is one way to do it and then there is the right way. Interns will get the inside scoop to operate like a seasoned veterans in their professionalism. We’ll cover how to handle common sticky situations, and discern how to avoid them in the first place. Networking: Step Out with StyleSaturday, April 20, 2013A network is a rich and renewable resource for referrals, leads and opportunities—but only if you tap into it. We’ll learn a simple and surefire method step by step to help interns represent themselves and their employers effectively. Beyond shaking hands and landing meetings, there is an art to the follow up. This workshop will give interns the tools to develop a dynamic network and keep it going. Job Search: Your Career is WaitingSaturday, May 18, 2013The final workshop in the series will give interns the road map to go out and find jobs, internships, residencies and fellowships to put all the skills they’ve learned to work. In addition to sharing resources, we’ll also explore how to develop a reserve geared towards your interests and passions. Student 0.00
