Mercy & Sharing will host the Promise 126 fundraising event at Villa 221 on February 8th, 2013. Promise 126 is an event designed to showcase the rich and colorful culture of Haiti, endeavoring to provide support and opportunities for disabled Haitian children and adults. There are 126 orphans at Mercy & Sharing Village in Haiti. These children were abandoned and left to die; many are disabled or have special needs. The U.S based non-profit organization Mercy & Sharing made a promise to care for these children. Promise 126 will not just help these children survive, but enable them to have the love they need to thrive. The event was put together to celebrate Haitian culture & to create future opportunities for these kids. The night will feature the savory tastes, vivid sights and energetic sounds of Haiti with samplings from area restaurants and an open vodka and wine bar. Steel drums, art, and entertainment will be featured along with a silent auction from 8pm to 10:30pm and grand prize raffle at 11pm. An inspiring celebration benefiting the 126 orphans who are receiving support, the evening will prove fun and meaningful. $60 / person, $100 / couple
