January is National Mentoring Month, and although we celebrate our mentors year round this is the awareness that is needed to take our youth from dreaming of a higher education to the reality of sitting in a university lecture hall. In honor of our mentors we will be hosting a Happy Hour Fundraiser & Volunteer Drive for Take Stock in Children on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Blue Martini Brickell - 900 South Miami 2nd Floor Ave. Miami, FL. 33131. The event time is from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and attendees must be 21 and older to enter with a valid ID. The dress code is business casual and strictly enforced. Hats or open toed sandle shoes are not permitted. The purpose of this event is to recruit volunteer mentors, raise money and awareness about Take Stock in Children, while celebrating the ones who answered the call to action, our caring volunteer mentors. TSIC has partnered for this event with local mentoring programs, local organizations and companies with the same goal in mind of mentoring to increase awareness about the needs of our children. Our event partners include Big Brothers Big Sisters, I Have A Dream Overtown, Inc., Ulltium Consulting and Young Professionals Network - Miami.
