Using sacred HA breathing techniques, visualization, Mana energy work and the rhythms of the Hula dance, it works gently but deeply into the recipient's body, mind and spirit, using continuous flowing wavelike strokes and nurturing the body. It is an experience that overwhelms the mind with sensations and at the same time communicates unconditional love, freedom, joy and acceptance to the inner self.This course provides a basic foundation for the traditional healing art of Sacred Lomi Lomi, where students will learn body mechanics, the quality of touch, and how to incorporate intention, movement and position into their existing healing practice. The essence of this Hawaiian Temple style of bodywork consists of long, flowing forearm strokes that contribute to deep relaxation and a feeling of wholeness.Day 1- Introduction to Hawaiian LomiLomi Massage, Back PositionIntroduction to the background, history and theory of the Art of Hawaiian Temple bodywork and its development as part of Hawaiian culture. Students will learn and practice selected hula movements, back and front LomiLomi protocols, shamanic techniques and lomi sequences.Day 2 - Front position and back and front integrationBasic principles of movement, touch techniques and selected sequences for the front position demonstration. Students will learn how to move their body and client’s body at the same time. Front hands-on practice--face, chest, arms, abdominal work, legs.
