While the Chapungu exhibit, the largest collection of African stone sculptures, is at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden through the end of May, aspiring artists have a chance to create their very own masterpiece at one of several five-day workshops. Agnes Nyanhongo, one of the world's top women sculptors, will be leading several workshops held Tuesday through Saturday in the pavilion located in the heart of the exhibit. No prior experience is required and the $625 ($500 for Fairchild members) fee includes a sculpting stone from Zimbabwe, as well as a set of tools to keep. For reservations and details, call (305)-667-1651 ext. 3322.
