FRANCIS HARRIS / ADULTNAPPER
Leading the way is label head Francis Harris who is no stranger to the Miami Pickle faithful and fans of uncompromising house music everywhere. As Adultnapper, Harris has played some legendary WMC sets dating back to the early '00s, including turns at every Made Events Sunday School (Pawn Shop, anyone?) and an epic rooftop back-to-backer with Florida favorite Three that none present will likely forget. In 2012 Francis' career reached new heights with the release of his first full length, "Leland" on his newly launched boutique label, S&T. Since, Harris has been in ever increasing demand around the globe, yet somehow he remains focused on his studio and label, producing a whole slate of new talent for release on S&T and it's sister label, Natural History. His own follow up to "Leland" is in the pipeline for release later this year. In the meantime, look for more from Harris under his lightbluemover guise.
BLACK LIGHT SMOKE and GRY
Since the formative moments of S&T, black light smoke has been a central figure. His simultaneous release of two vinyl EPs, "Switchback" and "Lovework," launched the label two years ago, and with it his reputation as one indie dance music's grittier and more unusual practitioners. As one who is endlessly writing and producing, no two black light smoke live sets are ever the same, but this one will be something entirely new as he teams up for the first time with labelmate Gry. Known to S&T followers as the Danish vocalist featured on Harris' hit "Lost Found," Gry is an amazingly talented songwriter and mesmerizing performer. The set will feature embellished black light smoke material woven together with specially created dance versions of Gry's solo work and sneak previews of her debut album which is currently being produced by the label.
Bob Moses are Canadian-born youngsters Jimmy Vallance and Tom Howie. The duo just released their debut on Scissor and Thread Limited in September, and despite there being only 300 copies of the vinyl only "Hands To Hold EP" in the world, they've become one of the most talked about new artists in deep house music. In just six months Bob Moses have toured Europe and the US, played multiple festivals and developed a fully live set which they debuted to blown minds at the new Brooklyn club OUTPUT last month. Miami got a taste during Art Basel when mybeatfix.com picked Bob Moses' DJ set as one of the weekend's Top Five performances. Back now with the full blown Bobby Mo experience, these stars are just beginning to shine.
Rounding out the bill will be S&T's unsung hero, Michael Scott. Lately Scott has taken a behind the scenes role as one of the label's executives, but those of us with a miles on the odometer will remember Michael's Soco Audio label, a solid supplier of soulful tech house records the pre-digital era. Michael is still an active DJ and party promoter in his hometown of Atlanta, so expect the proceedings to get underway with a southern fried take on current house sounds delivered by a veteran hand.
Veteran Naveen G, who has produced tracks for Satoshi Tomiie and featured on Sasha & Digweed's seminal tours, employs incredible range to always hit the perfect note, laying down set after flawlessly crafted set, whether it be house, tech-house, progressive or techno. Naveen hosts the longest running show on Proton Radio and is a regular on the world stage, from Europe to South America, and on the North American festival circuit.
Visuals virtuoso by day, he directs the decks by night. Fresh off creating the marketing and directing the new music video for Betoko's "Before I Lose Control", Hoj will demonstrate that he is a master of all media. His eclectic and distinct blend of house and techno earned him a night alongside Cassy at Berlin's legendary Panorama Bar and some of the world's greatest, including Jon Digweed, Carl Cox, Steve Lawler and many more. He's crafted his musical journeys across Europe, the South Pacific, South, Central & North America, recently opening for All Day I Dream in Mexico and Montreal, and on the Robot Heart Bot in Black Rock City.
Dory rocks the dance floor, no matter the continent: from Pacha in London, to the South Pacific; from BPM in Mexico, to listed's Freaky Tikki in Miami; from the super-clubs of Zurich, to the Robot Heart Bot cruising the dusts of Burning Man. Recognized by Desyn Masielo as having mixed one of the "best sets he has ever heard," Dory was selected as a member of his Faciendo collective, her sets broadcast on 24 FM and online stations the world over. Her intelligent blend of groovy house, techno and minimal wins the feet of her fans and commands the respect of fellow artists.
Atish works tirelessly to refine an emotive touch, reaching a rapidly growing fan base through a monthly podcast and gig after gig in San Francisco, including a residency at 222 Hyde's most popular monthly, TuTu Tuesday, and as a member of House-Heads.
