CARD celebrates its 20th year anniversary at this year's signature gala, Tropical Nights. Tropical Nights is your way to help those affected by autism living in South Florida. It is a fundraiser benefiting the programs, services and research initiatives of the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (CARD) housed within the University of Miami, Department of Psychology. The evening will feature the stories of CARD constituents who are now 20 years old and have grown up with CARD.
More than 600 guests will join event co-chairs Steve Marin and Cristina Canales to celebrate CARD's 20 years of excellence serving the South Florida autism community. This year's Tropical Nights honorees are the Miami Dolphins and Bacardi USA. Guests are invited to join the Center for Autism for a cocktail reception followed by a night of fine dining, live and silent auction and live entertainment. Proceeds from the special appeal will benefit the children and adults with autism in South Florida and help educate the community of autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
CARD's 11th annual Tropical Nights is set for Saturday, May 11, 2013 beginning at 7p.m. at the InterContinental Miami.
