Kids from 8 - 17 years of age come join us with your parents at our next CoderDojo meeting in Pembroke Pines Saturday June 22nd from 10am-1pm at South West Regional Library Room 203. The library address is: 16835 Sheridan Street, Pembroke Pines, FL 33331. We'll be meeting twice a month, the second and fourth Saturday, to build programming skills with creative kids who love exploring with computers. If you are interested to learn computer programming and you are willing to share what you learn with others you can become a participant. No prior programming experience is necessary. Their is no cost, just bring a laptop and a parent (be sure the laptop is charged since there aren't many outlets). Our format is exploratory and not lecture, although we will have talks from time to time. Teams will be formed to conduct activities and each team gets to present what they have built and share how they did it with others. If you like the idea of building games, mods, scripts, and hacks etc then you have found a home. If you know how to program and want to share what you know with other kids then become a Dojo Mentor. There are lots of great info at coderdojo.com for beginners and mentors alike. So parents and kids are you in? :-) Awesome! Grab a free ticket and have your parent complete this short survey: http://goo.gl/5UimdOh, one more thing. There is only one rule when at CoderDojo: Be cool!
