Black Marriage Day is an annual celebration which usually falls on the fourth Sunday in March. This is a national initiative to solidify the importance of marriage in the Black community. The Black Marriage Day national debut featured 30 cities in 2003. Today, marriage activists in hundreds of cities are involved with Black Marriage Day to highlight the benefits of marriage, pay tribute to successful marriages, and to promote marriage in the Black Community.
