It's the middle of Summer, and pretty soon we'll be heading back to school. Then the holidays will sneak up on us so quickly we'll feel like we got whiplash! Has anyone else noticed how quickly retailers start putting up Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas items in the store as soon as the kids are back in school? It seems like it's sooner and sooner every, year right?
With all of these things looming ahead of us in the near future, now is a great time to think about staying fit through the Summer and Fall. We'll be having treats thrust upon us before we know it, so having a good plan in place will help keep those pounds in check.
Here are a couple of ways that can help you stay fit through Summer, Fall and beyond, all while staying budget-friendly.
1. Pick out your favorite workout videos. If you've got Netflix, there's an entire section just for fitness videos that you can watch as part of your monthly subscription. But if you do not, there are a ton of fitness/workout videos available for you to watch for free on YouTube! My favorite? The World's Fastest Workout Video that only takes 4 minutes!
2. Head to the pool. If you've got a neighborhood pool, or other source for swimming in your area then go for a swim! Swimming works out so many muscles, and is an excellent way to keep fit through the Summer and early Fall!
3. Hit the trail with family and friends. Hiking on a regular basis can be a fun way to work out while you explore nature. It's good exercise and being in nature will help boost your mood as well.
4. Ride that bike! Bikes aren't just for kids to play on; adults can have just as much fun riding! I absolutely love riding around the neighborhood with my kids, and it's an excellent way to get some exercise. And if you've got a good bike trail or park in your area, then head over there for some fun and exercise!
Doing just a few simple things like this will help you stay fit, and you'll be doing it on a budget at the same time! Do you have any tips for staying fit through Summer and Fall?
