The Shenandoah Branch Library is located in the southeast corner of Shenandoah Park and diagonally across the street from Shenandoah Middle School in Little Havana. It was originally a City of Miami Library which was dedicated in 1956 and became part of the Miami-Dade Public Library System in 1971. The neighborhood is primarily Hispanic and, thus, the branch has a separate room for the adult Spanish collection. For a small branch of 6,500 square feet, Shenandoah Library has well-balanced collections in English and in Spanish for adults and children. Patron access is available to the Internet, numerous databases and the computerized library catalog. There is a large children’s room which serves many school children from the three elementary schools and one middle school in the area.Map to Location
