There are plenty of rising stars-in-the making throughout South Florida -- and Steve Hitter is one of them. The young rapper, who claimed the prize as our 99 Co-sign artist for April 2020, may be new to the scene but he’s gained plenty of hype from his first-ever hit single “All The Way In.”
Born at Mercy Hospital in Miami, Steve Hitter has lived all over Miami from Grapeland, South Miami Heights, South Miami and Kendall. Hitter says he’s been into all forms of music throughout his entire life. He raps, freestyles, sings, and writes his own music. Despite his passion for the game, Hitter just started to seriously pursue his music career within the past year and a half.
“One major thing that I think sets me apart from a lot of other artists is that I’m doing this for more than just myself,” Hitter told 99 JAMZ. “I'm doing this for all of those close to me who since way before this COVID-19 situation been struggling. I plan on changing everything for those around me to create a chain effect where those same people will be able change everything for those around them and so on.”
“All The Way In” is Hitter’s first-ever song, but he’s got a lot more in store for his growing fan base. According to the Miami rapper, the song, which was produced by Airic (aka mazadivison), touches on the roots of his passion for music. Yet, Hitter also has more songs in his vault that stem from other genres like R&B and Dancehall.
“I want people to understand my roots are hip-hop but I will be mixing it up with the different styles,” Hitter said.
Not long after releasing “All The Way In,” Hitter dropped off his latest track “Faded.” Check out both songs below.
