Aneesha Saleem is the Executive Director of the We The Best Foundation, a 501c3 organization dedicated to enriching the lives of the next generation – from childhood to adulthood. The foundation supports non-profit organizations and individuals in underserved communities in efforts that aid them towards becoming the best version of themselves. Aneesha is a results-driven nonprofit professional, passionate about leading and driving successful organizations that positively impact communities nationally; she has over 18 years of experience in the nonprofit and corporate sectors. Aneesha is a creative person who values faith, family, and community service. Now taking her passion and talents to help the We The Best Foundation bring its philanthropic efforts and programming to the next level.


Robbin Simmons

Robbin Simmons returned to WSVN to co-anchor the weekend editions of 7 NEWS Robbin Simmons returned to WSVN to co-anchor the weekend editions of 7 NEWS at 5, 6, & 10.

Robbin was an anchor/reporter at WDIV-TV in Detroit since 2004. Prior to WDIV, Robbin spent three years at WSVN as a general assignment reporter and was quickly promoted to Saturday morning weekend anchor. During her time at WSVN, she covered everything from the Elian Gonzalez saga, Timothy McVeigh’s execution and the 2000 Presidential election. Robbin covered the 2009 Presidential Inauguration and in March 2014, traveled to Vatican City for President Obama’s visit to Pope Francis.

A Chicago native, Robbin earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.

A mother of two, Robbin loves foreign films, traveling, baking and getting to know viewers on social media.


Melissa Hunter Davis

Melissa Hunter Davis is a creative entrepreneur and the master mind behind Sugarcane . Sugarcane Magazine is a Black art and culture media company. Black culture is the most recognized culture in the world and influences every corner of humanity. With the rise in Black visual art along with music, dance, design, and literature, Sugarcane Magazine controls the cultural currency of Black people. We connect thousands of readers globally with the world’s leading visual and performing artists, with a focus on making the most popular and imitated culture accessible. Started in 2006 by Melissa Hunter, our founder saw the opportunity for media that focuses on the visual and performing arts from Africa and the African diaspora.


Whenda “Wanda” Tima

Whenda “Wanda” Tima is an award-winning Haitian-Turks Islander media maven raised in South Florida. Excited about her heritage and with a passion to give back; in October 2011, Wanda started “L’union Suite”, a personal project aimed to help other Haitian-Diasporas who wanted to learn more about Haiti and its culture, who often felt disconnected from the experience. Wanda is determined to change the world’s perception of Haiti and its diverse people.


Michelle Johnson

Michelle Johnson serves as the Faith and Community Leadership Officer for Mayor Daniella Levine Cava’s office.  Michelle has an extensive background in banking, community reinvestment/corporate responsibility and nonprofit management. A dedicated community advocate and a natural connector, Michelle Johnson served as Director of Strategic Partnership for Concerned African Women, Inc. and was responsible for ensuring outstanding outcomes for over 1,500+ families, youth, parents per year.  Developing and managing multiple programs and collective impact initiatives over 13 years including: The Independent Parent Council, New Dimensions in Parent Advocacy, Family Strengthening, The Synergy Service Partnership and Symposium, Wrap-Around Care Coordination, Healthy Out of School Time Initiative and Youth Violence Prevention.  Michelle is a graduate of Hampshire College in Amherst MA, Stonier Graduate School of Banking, University of Pennsylvania, and Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University. Michelle is passionate about civic engagement and community service and is a member of Zeta Phi Beta, Incorporated, The Carrousels, Inc., Adrienne Arsht Center Gospel Council and Board of Trustees member of Miami-Dade’s Together for Children Coalition.


Alexis Frazier

Alexis Frazier joined the Local 10 News team in April 2020 as the morning traffic reporter. She is a proud Floridian born and raised in Fort Lauderdale. She graduated from Florida A&M University in the fall of 2013 with a degree in broadcast journalism. Before her return to the Sunshine State, Alexis gained more than 5 years of experience as an Anchor/Reporter at ABC affiliates in Texas and South Carolina. She started her career at a CBS affiliate in Mississippi.


Jessica Garrett Modkins

She is the Director & Producer for the Inaugural HBCU Honors Awards Show as well as the DocuSeries: Miami’s Richmond Heights and HBCU Homecomings all set to air Black History month 2023. HBCU Honors acknowledges the top HBCU Alum in Industry and found favor with Oprah Winfrey who makes a special appearance. The show is hosted by Wendy Raquel Robinson from The Game on Paramount+.

She is the founder of Hip Rock Star Advertising, a trailblazing, award winning, advertising, marketing, and communications agency that focuses exclusively to build today’s socially conscious brands.


Dr. Delvena R. Thomas

Dr. Delvena R. Thomas - Owner & Board Certified Psychiatrist. She is a tireless advocate and nationally recognized mental health expert working to end the stigma of mental illness and educate the public about the brain. In her private practice, Dr. Thomas provides individual, couple, and group therapy to address several issues, including performance problems experienced by serious amateur and professional athletes, addiction, sexual dysfunction, mood, and anxiety disorders. She is also the owner of DRT Wellness Spa where massages, weight loss management, facials, and anti-aging techniques can all be incorporated into a client’s wellness program.

Kerry-Ann Royes, M.B.A. is the President & CEO of YWCA South Florida. Committed to eliminating racism and empowering women, Kerry-Ann has expended #YWCA to serve more than 5,000 women, girls and people of color with access to health care, early childhood education & economic empowerment. Kerry-Ann is a leader, strategist and futurist at heart. her career with the YMCA spanned 25+ years and served as Executive Director, Community Advancement and Operations.


Angelina Rosario

Traci Young-Byron

Traci Young-Byron, passion for the arts shines through her role as Founder and CEO of the Young Contemporary Dance Theatre, with its mission to help enlighten and expand societal views through all areas of dance. Born and raised in Liberty City, is a pillar of her community. She heads the Performance and Visual Arts Center at Miami Northwestern High School and is dance coach for the school’s Golden Girls Dance Line.
