Jacob Allen Wright, 19, of Rancho Cucamonga, was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder and attempted murder, according to a news release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. He is being held without bail at West Valley Detention Center, according to the release.

Wright was identified as the suspect after a five-week investigation that included the assistance of the FBI, KTLA reported. He was arrested following a traffic stop on Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s department.

Wright was charged in the deaths of Jia Jia, 44, and Ruby Meng, 8. They were found stabbed to death on March 7 at their home in Rancho Cucamonga, KCBS reported. A 38-year-old woman was injured when she was stabbed at the residence, according to the sheriff’s department, the Fontana Herald News reported.

Investigators believe Wright entered the residence, then attacked and stabbed all three victims in a bedroom, KTLA reported. He fled through a rear sliding door.

Detectives found no relationship between Wright and the victims and the motive remains unclear, the sheriff’s department said in its release.
