Cage, 57, tied the knot with girlfriend Riko Shibata last month in Las Vegas, E! News reported. The “National Treasures” actor and Shibata, 26, were married in Nevada on Feb. 16.

“It’s true, and we are very happy,” Cage told People in a statement.

The wedding was a “very small and intimate wedding at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas,” according to a representative for Cage.

TMZ and ET Canada also reported the marriage.

The choice of the wedding date was “to honor the birthday of the groom’s late father.” Augustus Coppola, who died in 2009, was born Feb. 16, 1934.

Shibata wore a wore a handmade Japanese bridal kimono from Kyoto, walked down the aisle to “Winter Song” by Kiroro, People reported. Cage wore a Tom Ford tuxedo, and the couple exchanged traditional Catholic and Shinto vows with poetry from Walt Whitman and haiku, according to the magazine.

The couple applied for a marriage license on Jan. 10, according to Clark County court records. According to the marriage license, Shibata took Cage’s last name.

Shibata is four years younger than Cage’s oldest son Weston Cage, 30, by ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton, according to Hollywood Life.

Cage’s last marriage, to Erika Koike, was annulled after four days in March 2019. Before that, Cage was married to Alice Kim for 10 years before they separated in 2016. The couple share a 15-year-old son, Kal-El Coppola, E! News reported.

Cage was also married to Lisa Marie Presley for slightly more than 100 days in 2002. His first marriage, to Patricia Arquette, lasted six years before they divorced in 2001.

In August 2020, Cage announced his engagement to Shibata but said the coronavirus pandemic prevented him from proposing face-to-face, E! News reported.

“She left New York and went back to Kyoto, Japan, and I went back to Nevada and I haven’t seen her for six months,” Cage said on a radio show hosted by his older brother, Marc Coppola. “We’re really happy together and we’re really excited to spend that time together so I finally just said, ‘Look, I wanna marry you,’ and we got engaged on FaceTime.”
