Florida born and Florida bred! DJ Nailz is an individual full of infectious energy! When you hear him on the air whether he is doing his night show or mixing you automatically feel great and want to party!

He credits Florida Radio Vets like the late Bartell Bartell & Uncle Al, Funkmaster Flex and DJ Enuff for his interest in entering the radio world. “When I was a little thumbtack I used to listen to them and feel like I could talk back to them in the speaker! They were that good!” He said. “Then I used to watch my pops on his tables at the crib and help him carry his crates and I was infatuated with touching records!” The son of a club DJ and Grandson of a former club owner in Florida, Nailz was raised around music.

At the early age of 16 he was experimenting on his father’s tables and already spinning house parties and high school basketball games. “My Dad went by the name of DJ Rocko and he walked in on me trying a crab scratch and gave methe name DJ Nailz! I thought it was corny at first but it made sense with  ya know. Haha!” When Nailz stepped into college he called it “heaven” because of the extracurricular activities. He was on his college radio station and in the clubs spinning and hosting the hottest nights all while interning for companies like BET and Cox Media Group’s WPYO (Power 95.3) which at the time was Programmed by Jill Strada and DJ Prostyle hosted nights.

Nailz’s over the top personality shines during his show and has even landed him the role at one point as the Orlando Magic’s Community Events DJ amongst other titles in the community! You can currently catch him on your radio Weeknights 7pm to 12am on 99Jamz, in the clubs around the Country and on the streets with his mixtapes.
