Miami Police need your help in finding the person who is responsible for shooting and killing this woman in front of her own home. According to investigators, Officers responded to a shot spotter alert Friday evening at NW 52nd street and 10th Avenue. They arrived to find 89-year-old year-old Elizabeth Level, known as “Ms.Liz,” to her community wounded. She was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center by Miami Fire Rescue where she was pronounced dead.

Reese Level said the victim was her aunt Elizabeth Level, a beloved great-grandmother who was the victim of a drive-by shooting in front of her home.” My aunt was outside. A car rolled by and they started shooting and they hit her,” Reese Level said later adding, “She lived to see all of her grandkids and great, great grandkids.” Miami Police say they are working around the clock on this case. They also say that it does not appear that the victim was the intended target.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
